Çocuk hikaye kitaplarında Tanrı tasavvuru

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı, okul öncesi döneme (4–6 yaş) yönelik çocuk hikâye kitaplarında Tanrı tasavvurunun nasıl sunulduğunu incelemektir. Araştırma nitel araştırma deseninde yürütülmüş, veriler doküman analizi yöntemiyle toplanmış ve betimsel analiz tekniği kullanılarak değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu, Türkiye’de yayımlanan ve okul öncesi döneme hitap eden dini içerikli 20 çocuk hikâye kitabı oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma sonucunda kitaplarda Tanrı tasavvurunun ağırlıklı olarak yaratan, seven, koruyan, her şeyi bilen, gören ve işiten, nimet veren, dualara karşılık veren, bağışlayan ve ilham veren bir varlık olarak sunulduğu belirlenmiştir. Buna karşılık Tanrı’nın cezalandırıcı yönüne oldukça sınırlı düzeyde yer verildiği görülmüştür. Ayrıca bazı kitaplarda dini içerik bulunmasına rağmen Tanrı tasavvuruna ilişkin herhangi bir anlatımın yer almadığı tespit edilmiştir. Elde edilen bulgular, okul öncesi döneme yönelik çocuk hikâye kitaplarında Tanrı’nın daha çok sevgi, güven ve merhamet ekseninde ele alındığını göstermektedir. Araştırma sonuçları, Piaget’nin bilişsel gelişim kuramı, Rizzuto’nun nesne ilişkileri yaklaşımı, Fowler’ın inanç gelişimi kuramı ve bağlanma kuramı çerçevesinde ele alınmıştır. Kitaplarda yer alan anlatımların çocukların bilişsel ve duygusal gelişim özellikleriyle uyumlu olduğu değerlendirilmiştir. Sonuç olarak araştırma, okul öncesi döneme yönelik çocuk hikâye kitaplarında olumlu Tanrı tasavvurunun ön plana çıkarıldığını ortaya koymaktadır. Gelecekte yapılacak çalışmalarda, daha kapsamlı bir seti kullanılması, farklı araştırma desenleri düzenlenmesi ve kültürlerarası çalışmalar yapılması önerilmektedir

The aim of this research is to examine how the concept of God is presented in children’s storybooks for the preschool period (4-6 years old). The research was conducted using a qualitative research design, data were collected using document analysis, and evaluated using descriptive analysis techniques. The study group consisted of 20 children’s storybooks published in Türkiye and aimed at preschool children. The research results showed that the concept of God in these books is predominantly presented as a creator, lover, protector, all-knowing, all-seeing and all-hearing being, a giver of blessings, an answerer to prayers, a forgiver, and an inspiring being. In contrast, the punitive aspect of God is presented to a very limited extent. Furthermore, it was found that some books, despite containing religious content, did not include any content regarding the concept of God. The findings indicate that in children’s storybooks for the preschool period, God is mostly addressed in terms of love, trust, and mercy. The research results were analyzed within the framework of Piaget’s cognitive development theory, Rizzuto’s object relations approach, Fowler’s theory of belief development, and attachment theory. The narratives in the books were evaluated as being compatible with the cognitive and emotional development characteristics of children. In conclusion, the research reveals that a positive image of God is emphasized in preschool children’s storybooks. Future studies are recommended to use a more comprehensive set of materials, develop different research designs, and conduct cross-cultural studies.
