Huzurevlerinde yaşlıların ihtiyaç duydukları manevi gereksinimler

Abstract

Ülkemizde çalışmalarının ancak 20. yy. ve 21. yy.’da daha etkin olmaya başladığı Manevi Danışmanlık ve Rehberlik hizmetlerinin önemi gün geçtikçe artmaktadır. Manevi Danışmanlık ve Rehberlik alanında daha kaliteli hizmet verebilmek amacıyla öncelikle manevi ihtiyaçların belirlenmesi gerekir. Çalışmamızda manevi danışmanlığın hizmet alanlarından biri olan huzurevi tercih edilmiştir. Çalışmamızın amacı; huzurevinde kalan yaşlı bireylerin manevi ihtiyaçlarının tespiti üzerine yapılmış çalışmaların sistematik derleme yöntemi aracılığı ile incelerek huzurevinde kalan yaşlı bireylerde görülen bu ihtiyaçların tespit edilmesidir. Bu alanda yapılan çalışmalar sistematik derleme modeli ile analiz edilmiş ve manevi ihtiyaçlar belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Çalışmamızın sonucunda elde edilen bulgularda, huzurevinde kalan yaşlı bireylerin sorunları incelendiğinde temelde yalnızlık, depresyon, ölüm kaygısı ve sosyolojik ve psikolojik anlamda desteğe ihtiyaçlarının olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Manevi bakım uygulamasının ise bu sorunlara yönelik olarak kendine özgü yöntemler kullanarak giderilmesi açısından etkin bir yöntem olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

In our study, nursing home, which is one of the service areas of spiritual counseling, was preferred. The aim of our study; The aim of this study is to determine the needs of elderly people living in nursing homes by examining the studies on the determination of the spiritual needs of elderly people living in nursing homes through the systematic compilation method. Studies in this field were analyzed with a systematic compilation model and spiritual needs were tried to be determined. In the findings obtained as a result of our study, when the problems of the elderly people living in nursing homes were examined, it was determined that they needed loneliness, depression, death anxiety and sociological and psychological support. It has been concluded that the spiritual care application is an effective method in terms of eliminating these problems by using unique methods.
