Abbasî Şairi Buhtürî’nin Şiirlerinde Hikmet

Abstract

Abbasi döneminde Arap edebiyatında şiir türünün en parlak eserlerinin verildiği süreçte öne çıkan şairlerden biri olan Buhtürî'nin oldukça geniş kapsamlı divanında dikkate değer sayıda hikmet şiirleri yer almaktadır. Ancak, edebiyat eleştirmenlerinin tespitlerine göre Buhtürî, Ebû Temmâm ve Mütenebbî gibi hikmet şiirleriyle tanınan bir şair olarak anılmamaktadır. Bu makalede, şairin akademik çevrelerin dikkatinden kaçmış olan bu hikemî yönü incelenmiştir. Şairin hikmet formundaki şiirleri anlam, edebi sanatlar ve üslup açısından değerlendirilmiştir. Yöntem olarak doküman analizi esas alınmıştır. Şairin hikmet şiirlerinin sayısı yüzleri bulmasına rağmen, bu konudaki tek makale seviyesindeki çalışmanın yalnızca 10 beyitle sınırlı kalması ve edebi eleştiri amacı taşımaması, konunun daha kapsamlı bir incelemeye tabi tutulması gerekliliğini ortaya koymuştur. Bu yönüyle çalışma, kapsam ve yöntem açısından özgün bir nitelik taşımaktadır. Çalışmada elde edilen bulgular şu şekilde özetlenebilir: Buhtürî’nin şiirlerinin hikmet beyitleri içermediği yönündeki genel kanı isabetli değildir. Şairin hikmet beyitlerinde derin felsefi çıkarımlar yapmadığı, ancak bu beyitlerde teşbih ve istiare gibi edebi sanatları kullanmada, Ebû Temmâm ve Mütenebbî seviyesinde olmasa da, yetkin olduğu görülmüştür.

In the Abbasid period, when the most brilliant works of Arabic poetry were produced, Buhturi, a prominent figure of the time, included a noteworthy amount of didactic (hikmet) poetry in his extensive divan (collected works). However, according to literary critics, Buhturi is not typically known for his didactic poetry in the same way that poets like Abu Tammam and Al-Mutanabbi are. This article examines this overlooked aspect of the poet's work. The study analyzes the meaning, literary devices, and style of Buhturi’s didactic poems. In terms of methodology, the study is based on document analysis. Although the number of Buhturi’s didactic poems is in the hundreds, the only previous study on this topic, which was limited to ten couplets and did not aim for literary criticism, underscores the need for a more comprehensive examination. In this respect, the study is original in terms of scope and method. The results obtained from the study can be summarized as follows: The perception that Buhturi’s poetry does not contain didactic couplets is inaccurate. While composing didactic couplets, the poet did not make deep philosophical observations. In these couplets, it is observed that Buhturi is skilled in literary devices such as metaphor and simile, although not to the same extent as Abu Tammam and Al-Mutanabbi.
