Çağdaş seramik sanatında çocuk figürü ve kişisel uygulamalar

Abstract

İnsanlık tarihi kadar eski olan sanatta çocuk kavramı; her dönem farklı olarak ele alınmıştır. Çocuğun modern toplumun yaşam koşullarına göre gerçekleştirdiği evrimler sanat yoluyla gözlemlenmiştir. Sanatta çocuk imgesini ele alırken, çocuğun gelişim süreci, sosyal ve tarihsel dönem bilgilerine de yer verilmiştir. Çocuk çağlar boyunca küçük yetişkinler olarak kabul edilip, en ağır ve kötü şartlarda çalışmaya zorlanırken Rönesans ve Aydınlanma Dönemi ile çocuk kavramı ortaya çıkmıştır. Çocuğun değerli, sevgiye ve korunmaya muhtaç olduğu anlaşılmıştır. Rönesans ile birlikte tüm sanat dallarında da çocuğa yönelik değişimlerin ortaya çıktığı gözlenmiştir. Bu araştırma, 21. yüzyılda Çağdaş Seramik Sanatında seramik sanatçılarının özellikle çocuk üzerine yaptığı eserlere dikkat çekmiştir. Çocukların doğdukları andan itibaren yaşadığı anları, doğal hallerini, mutluluklarını, hüzünlerini, şiddete ve istismara uğradıkları yaşamlarının her birine değinen sanatçılar, dünyaya çocuğun ve çocukluğun ne kadar değerli olduğunu göstermeleri incelenmiş ve bağlamda seramik uygulamalar yapılmıştır.The concept of childhood in art, which is as old as human history itself, has been approached differently in every era. The evolution of children, according to the living conditions of modern society, has been observed through the medium of art. When dealing with the image of the child in art, the developmental process of the child has been considered alongside social and historical contexts. Throughout different ages, children were often perceived as miniature adults and were forced to work in harsh and unfavorable conditions. However, the concept of childhood emerged during the Renaissance and Enlightenment periods. It became understood that children are valuable, in need of love, and deserving of protection. With the Renaissance, changes regarding children were observed in various art forms as well. This research highlights artworks created by ceramic artists, particularly centered around children, in Contemporary Ceramic Art in the 21st century. These artists delve into moments from the instant of a child's birth, their natural states, joys, sorrows, as well as the different aspects of their lives including violence and abuse. The study examines how these artists showcase the significance of children and childhood, and how ceramic practices are employed within this context.
