Engellilere yönelik sosyal girişimcilik uygulaması: Down kafeler

Abstract

Sosyal sorunlara yenilikçi ve sürdürülebilir çözümler üretmeyi amaçlayan sosyal girişimcilik uygulamaları engelliler açısından önem arz etmektedir. Sosyal girişimler, engellilerin gerek sosyal hayatlarında gerekse iş hayatlarında karşılaştıkları zorlukların üstesinden gelmelerini büyük ölçüde kolaylaştırmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, engellilere yönelik bir sosyal girişimcilik uygulaması olan down kafelerin, down sendromlu bireyler açısından önemini ve toplumsal farkındalık düzeyine olan etkilerini ortaya koymaktır. Down kafelerin sayılarının ve bu kafelere olan toplumsal ilginin giderek artması, hem ekonomik hem de sosyal açıdan bir ihtiyacın ürünü olduğunu göstermektedir.

Social entrepreneurship practices that aim to produce innovative and sustainable solutions to social problems are important for people with disabilities. Social enterprises greatly facilitate disabled people to overcome the difficulties they face in both their social and business lives. The aim of this study is to reveal the importance of down cafes, a social entrepreneurship practice for the disabled, for individuals with down syndrome and their effects on the level of social awareness. The increasing number of down cafes and the social interest in these cafes shows that they are a product of both economic and social need.
