Özet
The Democratic Party (DP) gained power with the issue of press freedom until came to power in 1950. However, after the elections, the opposition of the newspapers began to disturb the Democrats. This inconvenience initiated with journalists after the 1954 elections, when the government became stronger. The struggle of the ruling party and the opposition press has led to the question of the right to proof. The failure to give journalists the right to prove their news was criticized for an attitude that undermined press freedom. There have been reactions not only from the outside, but also from the Democrats. Those who left the DP with these reactions formed a new party. In Turkish politics, one of the most important reasons for the decline of DP's power after 1955 is the question of the right to proof. So much so that the fourth power press is not free or tries to be silenced will harm the power. The best example of this is the question of the right to proof. This issue led to dissolution in the DP and strengthened the opposition.
