| dc.description.abstract | The reactions of octochlorocyclotetraphosphazatetraene, N4P4Cl4 (1) with difunctional bis(2-hydroxyethyl) ether gave the following isolated and characterized products: one mono-spiro, N4P4Cl6[(OCH2)(2)-(CH2)(2)O] (4); its isomers 1,3- (5) and 1,5-ansa (6); two isomeric cis-bis- and trans-bis-spiro, N4P4Cl4[(OCH2)(2)-(CH2)(2)O](2) (7 and 8); their isomers cis-1,3;5,7-ansa (9), cis-1,5;5,7-ansa (10), and spiro-ansa (11); as well as one bis-spiro mono-ansa, N4P4Cl2[(OCH2)(2)-(CH2)(2)O](3) (12), and a tetrakis, N4P4[O(CH2)(2)O(CH2)(2)O](4) (13) derivatives. P-31, H-1, and C-13 NMR spectroscopic investigations indicated all bis(2-hydroxyethyl) ether substituted cyclochlorophosphazene derivatives to have four types of spectra: A(2)MX (A(2)BX), AA'XX' (AA'BB'), A(2)x(2) (A(2)B(2)), and A(4). | |
