On Some Local Singers in Hittite Texts

Abstract

One of the most used instruments in performing music in theHittites was human voice. There were many officers who sang amongthe musicians in the Hittite documents. These were the musicians whoplayed a variety of musical instruments and used their voices inaccordance with their place in the ceremony. On the other hand, manymusicians whose main job was only singing were also recorded. Somecities had their own constructions. This study will focus on these citiesand local singers.

Hititlerde müzik icrasında en çok kullanılan enstrümanlardan biri insan sesi olmuştur. Hititçe belgelerde geçen müzisyenler arasında şarkı söyleyen pek çok görevli görülmektedir. Çeşitli sazlar seslendiren ve törendeki durumuna göre sesini de kullanan müzisyenler bunlardandır. Bununla birlikte, esas görevi şarkı söylemek olan pek çok müzisyen de kaydedilmiştir. Bazı kentlerin kendi bünyelerinde koroları vardır. Çalışmada bu kentler ve yerel şarkıcılar üzerinde durulacaktır.
