Halk Hikayelerinin Güncellenmesine Bir Örnek: Ceyhun Atuf Kansu'nun Tahir ile Zühre'si

Abstract

Halk anlatılarının politik idealler ve ideolojiler doğrultusunda yeniden yazılmasına ilişkin çalışmaların, 20. yüzyılda oldukça arttığı bilinmektedir. Özellikle bu yüzyıldaki ulus devletlerin yeni kimlik ve meşruiyet kurgusunda, kolektif değer ve kabullerin meydana getirdiği folklor ürünleri anahtar görevi görmüştür. Her ne kadar, yeni otorite sahipleri tarafından halk anlatılarının modernizasyonu halkı eğitmek ve aydınlatmak amacıyla yapıldığı dile getirilse de bu çalışmaların arka planında yeni rejimin görüşlerini kitlelere benimsetme endişesi yer almıştır. Erken Cumhuriyet döneminde de folklor ürünlerinin modernizasyonu projesinin aynı endişe etrafında geliştiğini söylemek mümkündür. Halk arasındaki popüler halk kitaplarının Cumhuriyet’in temel görüşleriyle uyumlu hale getirilmesine dayanan proje, birkaç çalışmayla sınırlı kalmıştır. Erken Cumhuriyet döneminde halk anlatılarının yeni rejimin değerlerini ve kurucu ideolojiyi kitlelere benimsetme düşüncesi, 1960’lı yıllarda toplumsal gerçekçi yazarlar tarafından sürdürülür. Bu yıllarda geleneksel kültürün bir parçası olan bazı halk kitapları, yazarların ideolojik görüşleri etrafında yeniden yazılır. Genel olarak köycülük, halkçılık ekseninde yayınlanan eserlerden biri de Ceyhun Atuf Kansu’ya aittir. “Sevgi Elması” adlı eserinde Tahir ile Zühre hikâyesini modernize eden Kansu, hikâyenin kahramanlarını Cumhuriyet dönemine taşımıştır. Söz konusu eser, Türk halk kitaplarının 20. yüzyıldaki modern versiyonlarına bir örnek teşkil etmesinin yanında halk anlatılarının yeniden yazım sürecinde uğradığı değişiklikleri göstermesi bakımından öneme sahiptir. Bu bildiride Ceyhun Atuf Kansu’nun Tahir ile Zühre hikâyesinin modern yorumu ile geleneksel metin içerik ve biçim açısından karşılaştırılarak iki metin arasındaki değişim tespit edilmeye çalışılacaktır.

It is known that studies on rewriting folk narratives in line with political ideals and ideologies have increased considerably in the 20th century. Especially in the new identity and legitimacy fiction of nation states in this century, folklore products which created by collective values and acceptances have played a key role. Although it was stated by the new authority owners that the modernization of folk narratives was carried out with the aim of educating and enlightening the public, there was the concern of adopting the views of the new regime to the masses in the background of these studies. It is possible to say that in the early Republic period, the modernization project of folklore products developed around the same concern. The project, which is based on the harmonization of popular folk books with the basic views of the Republic, was limited to a few studies. In the early Republican period, the idea of popular narratives to adopt the values of the new regime and the founding ideology to the masses is continued by social realist writers in the 1960s. One of the works published in the axis of peasantry and populism in general belongs to Ceyhun Atuf Kansu. Kansu, who modernized the story of Tahir and Zühre in his work titled “Sevgi Elması”, brought the heroes of the story to the Republic period. The work in question is not only an example of the modern versions of Turkish folk books in the 20th century, but also shows the changes that folk narratives have undergone in the rewriting process. In this paper, the modern interpretation of Ceyhun Atuf Kansu's story Tahir and Zühre will be compared with the traditional text in terms of content and form, and the change between the two texts will be determined
