Özet
The desire of countries for industrialization and development leads to the inability to fully address the damage to nature and to take precautions after negative effects on the environment occur. In order to solve this issue, it is necessary to carry out a planning action in the physical planning activities in order to research and develop the ways to use the opportunities of nature in the longest time and most efficiently. In this direction, it is an important factor to carry out landscape planning studies in accordance with ecological design criteria in order to improve landscapes, repair deteriorated landscapes and transfer them to future generations in an appropriate way. In particular, the nature- friendly and ecological- based design approaches can be beneficial in many ways in the improvement of environmental problems. In this study, ecological design approaches were investigated within the scope of landscape planning and studies on a global scale were referred to. As a result, it was emphasized that ecological design approaches are of vital importance for the future of nature and should be handled with holistic approaches in planning studies. © 2023 Peter Lang GmbH, Internationaler Verlag der Wissenschaften.
