Bilecik kent turizmi; mevcut durum, sorunlar ve çözüm önerileri

Abstract

Bilecik kenti doğal, tarihi ve kültürel çekicilikler bakımından önemli bir potansiyele sahiptir. Fakat potansiyelini değerlendiremedikçe turizm değerleri zamanla önemini kaybedebilir. Bu çalışma, Bilecik kent turizminin mevcut durumunu kapsamlı bir şekilde analiz etmeyi, sorunlarını tespit etmeyi ve çözüm önerileri geliştirmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Araştırmada ilk olarak konuya ilişkin önceki çalışmaların incelemesi yapılmıştır. Amaçlı örneklem yöntemi kullanılarak alanında uzman olan kişiler ile derinlemesine mülakatlar yapılmıştır. Toplamda mülakat görüşmeleri 25 kişi ile tamamlanmıştır. Bu sayı veri doygunluğunu sağlayacak şekilde belirlenmiştir. Doygunluk noktasına ulaşıldığında yani yeni bilgi elde edilemediğinde mülakatlar sonlandırılmıştır. Mülakat görüşmeleri tamamlandıktan sonra verilerin analizi için MAXQDA analiz programı ve SWOT analizi kullanılmıştır. Analizler sonucunda katılımcı görüşleriyle kendi ulaştığımız sonuçlar esas alınmış ve öneriler ortaya koyulmuş ve araştırma tamamlanmıştır. Yapılan kurumsal değerlendirmelere göre Bilecik kenti turizminin gelişiminin önünde ciddi sorunların olduğu görülmektedir. Araştırma sonucunda elde edilen veriler doğrultusunda kentin mevcut turizmini etkileyen 24 tane temel sorun alanı tespit edilmiştir. Sorunlar belirlenmiş 5 ana başlık altında toplanmıştır. Bu başlıklar: altyapı ve hizmet sorunları, turizm deneyimi ve çekicilik sorunları, tanıtım ve pazarlama sorunları, rekabet gücü ve koordinasyon sorunları, kentin turist profili ve bilinç sorunları şeklindedir. Bulgular incelendiğinde kurumların kentin gelişimine dair engel oluştan tüm unsurların bilincinde olduğu gözlemlenmektedir. Fakat çözüm önerileri ve planları incelendiğinde kurumların birbirilerinden bağımsız hareket etmelerinden kaynaklı turizm alanında bütüncül bir yaklaşım gösterilemediği ortaya çıkmaktadır. Bu durum turizmin gelişimini de yavaşlatmaktadır. Var olan planların ve projelerin hayata geçirilmesi, tüm uygulamalarda sürdürülebilirliğin sağlanması, tespit edilen sorunları gidererek şehrin turizmde verimliliğini arttırmak ve uzun vadeli bir kalkınma modelinin oluşturmak, Bilecik kentinin turizmde önemli bir destinasyona dönüşmesine katkı sağlayacaktır.

The city of Bilecik possesses significant potential in terms of its natural, historical, and cultural attractions. However if this potential is not effectively utilized, the city’s tourism values may gradually lose their importance over time. This study aims to comprehensively analyze the current state of Bilecik’s urban tourism, identify existing problems, and develop solution oriented recommendations. In the research, firstly previous studies on the subject were examined. Using the purposeful sampling method in-depth interviews were conducted with experts in the field. Interviews were completed with 25 people in total. This number was determined to ensure data saturation. Interviews were terminated when the saturation point was reached that is when no new information could be obtained. After the interviews were completed MAXQDA analysis program and SWOT analysis were used to analyze the data. As a result of the analysis the participants opinions and our own conclusions were taken as basis and the research was completed by putting forward suggestions. In line with the data obtained as a result of the research 24 main problem areas affecting the city's current tourism were identified. The problems are grouped under 5 main headings. These topics are: infrastructure and service problems, tourism experience and attraction problems, promotion and marketing problems, competitiveness and coordination problems, tourist profile of the city and awareness problems. When the findings are examined it is observed that the institutions are aware of all the elements that hinder the development of the city. However when the solution proposals and plans are examined it is revealed that a holistic approach cannot be shown in the field of tourism due to the independent actions of the institutions. This situation also slows down the development of tourism. Implementing the existing plans and projects, ensuring sustainability in all applications, increasing the efficiency of the city in tourism by eliminating the identified problems and creating a long term development model will contribute to the transformation of Bilecik city into an important destination in tourism.
