PLASTİK ANALYSIS IN PAINTING ART FROM IMPRESSIONISM TO PRESENT PURPLE COLOR

Abstract

The use of purple in the period from Impressionism to our recent past and the reflections on the expressions of the art of painting as a pigment forms the basis of our research. The aim of this study is to examine the forms of expression of purple color, which started to be used in different meanings and expressions with Impressionism. In our study, while investigating the importance of purple in painting art, artists who frequently use purple in their paintings from Impressionism to our recent past were selected and the works of these artists were examined in chronological order. Using the qualitative research method in the evaluation process, the visuals in the study were addressed on the physical structure of the purple and its effects on the human psyche, and the subject of how the artists handle with the character of purple in their works. As a result of the research, it has been concluded that, with Impressionism, the use of purple color instead of the real color of the object has ceased, and the artists put forward this color in expressing their feelings or evaluating them as plastic elements.

Mor rengin, Empresyonizmden yakın geçmişimize kadar olan dönemindeki kullanımı ve bu süreç içerisinde pigment olarak resim sanatının ifade biçimlerine olan yansımaları araştırmamızın temelini oluşturmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, Empresyonizm ile farklı anlamlarda ve anlatımlarda kullanılmaya başlanan mor rengin, geçen süreçteki anlatım biçimlerini ele almaktır. Çalışmamızda, resim sanatında morun yeri araştırılırken Empresyonizmden, yakın geçmişimize değin resimlerinde mor rengi sıklıkla kullanan sanatçılar seçilmiş ve bu sanatçıların çalışmaları kronolojik bir sıra ile irdelenmiştir. İncelenen görsellerin, değerlendirme sürecinde ise niteliksel araştırma yöntemi kullanılarak, morun, fiziki yapısına ve insan ruhunda uyandırdığı etkilere değinilmiş, sanatçıların mor rengin karakterini çalışmalarında nasıl yansıttıkları konusu ele alınmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda, Empresyonizm ile birlikte mor rengin, nesnenin gerçek rengi yerine kullanılmasının sona erdiği, sanatçıların bu rengi duygularını ifade etmede ya da plastik öğe olarak değerlendirmede resimlerinde ön plana çıkardıkları sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
