Sağlık Ekonomisi Alanında Yapılan Lisansüstü Tezlerin İncelenmesi

Abstract

Sağlıklı bir yaşam her bireyin en temel hakkıdır. Kişi ve toplumlar için büyük önem taşıyan sağlık, devletler için de büyük öneme sahiptir. Çünkü sağlık beşeri sermayenin önemli bir unsurudur. Sağlık alanında yapılan harcamaların bireysel faydalarının yanında toplumsal faydaları da yadsınamaz düzeydedir. Bu sebeple sağlık harcamalarının GSMH içindeki payı her geçen yıl artan bir seyir izlemektedir. Artan bu harcamaların etkinlik ve verimliliğinin analiz edilebilmesi için de ne sağlık bilimi ne de ekonomi bilimi tek başına yeterli değildir, sağlık ve ekonomi biliminin ortak çalışmasına ihtiyaç vardır. Bu sebeple artan sağlık harcamaları sonucunda ekonomi teorilerinin sağlığa uygulanması ile ilgilenen, ekonomi biliminin alt dalı olarak sağlık ekonomisi önem kazanmıştır. Sağlık harcamalarının sağlık üzerindeki pozitif etkileri sonucu beşeri sermayede meydana gelen iyileşme ekonomik büyüme üzerinde de etkilidir. Bu çalışmada YÖK’ün tez veri tabanında “sağlık ekonomisi” başlığı taratılarak ulaşılan tezler incelenmiş, sağlık harcamaları ile ekonomik büyüme arasındaki ilişkinin pozitif yönlü olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

A healthy life is the most fundamental right of every individual. Health, which is of great importance for individuals and societies, is also of great importance for states. Because health is an important element of human capital. In addition to the individual benefits of health expenditures, social benefits are also undeniable. For this reason, the share of health expenditures in GNP is increasing every year. In order to analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of these increasing expenditures, neither health science nor economics science alone is sufficient, there is a need for joint work of health and economics science. For this reason, as a result of increasing health expenditures, health economics as a sub-branch of economics, which deals with the application of economic theories to health, has gained importance. The improvement in human capital as a result of the positive effects of health expenditures on health is also effective on economic growth. In this study, the theses obtained by searching the title of "health economics" in the thesis database of YÖK were analyzed and it was concluded that the relationship between health expenditures and economic growth is positive.
