Özet

In this study, the design and manufacture of a lab/pilot scale Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) system has been realized demonstrated for using at for the treatment of textile industry wastewater. The design studies consist of four stages; design of operating conditions, design of ventilation tank, mechanical design of MBR system and identification of equipment required for process control. For the design of the MBR system, Acceptance values were determined taking into account the pollution loads and discharge criteria of the textile wastewater specified in the literature and these values were used for calculations. In design calculations, we calculated the reactor volume of the laboratory/pilot scale MBR system as 206 L, the area of the membrane module as 1,50 m2, the number of membrane cassettes as 6, the number of blowers as 1, and the number of diffusers as calculated as 1. After the installation of the MBR system, the system was operated. The system performance has been tested with the synthetic waste water treatment studies. In 10 days treatment period, 68% COD removal and 70% color removal were achieved. The produced MBR system shows encouraging performance in the produced MBR system. © 2018 Gazi Universitesi Muhendislik-Mimarlik. All rights reserved.
