Turizm Bağlamında Geleneksel Türk El Sanatı Lületaşı İşlemeciliğinin Değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Bir toplumun geçmişi ile geleceği arasında bağ kuran, o toplumun sanatını, kültürünü yansıtan geleneksel el sanatları destinasyonun turistik çekiciliğini arttırmaktadır. Bazı el sanatları, turistler için hediyelik veya dekoratif bir eşya olarak çok anlamlı olabilmektedir. Bu araştırma, Türkiye’nin maden grubundaki ilk coğrafi işaretli ürünü olarak tescil edilmiş olan lületaşı ile lületaşı işlemeciliği sanatını tanıtmayı, lületaşı işlemeciliğinin mevcut sorunlarını irdelemeyi, söz konusu sanatın yaşatılmasının ve sürdürülebilirliğinin turizm açısından önemine dikkat çekmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Araştırma kapsamında 10.03.2019-18.03.2019 tarihlerinde 8 lületaşı ustası ile yüz yüze görüşmeler gerçekleştirilmiştir. Elde edilen veriler betimsel analiz tekniğiyle analiz edilmiştir. Bulgular; günümüzde lületaşı ustalarının sayısının az olduğunu, genç kuşağın bu sanatı öğrenmek için istekli olmadığını göstermektedir. Katılımcılar, lületaşı işlemeciliğinin özendirilmesi ve sürdürülmesi için lise, önlisans ve lisans düzeyinde bölümlerin açılması, devletin başta gençler olmak üzere lületaşı ustalarını maddi olarak desteklemesi ve lületaşı madenciliğine ilişkin yasal düzenlemeler getirilmesinin faydalı sonuçlar vereceğini ifade etmektedirler. Son olarak uluslararası etkinlikler ve turistlere yönelik açılacak atölyeler ile lületaşının tanıtımının yapılarak Eskişehir’in turistik anlamda gelişimine katkı sağlanabileceğine vurgu yapılmıştır.

The traditional handicraft that connects the past and the future of a society, reflects the art and culture of that society, enhances the tourist attraction of the destination. Some handicrafts can be very meaningful as a gift or decorative item for tourists. The purpose of this research is to introduce the meerschaum, which was registered in Turkey as the first geographical indication product in the mining group, art of meerschaum processing, examine the current problems, draws attention to the importance of sustainability and survival of the art in terms of tourism. Within the scope of the research, face to face interviews were conducted with 8 meerschaum craftsmen on 10.03.2019- 18.03.2019. Descriptive analyzes of the data were conducted. Results reveal that the number of meerschaum craftsmen is low today and the young generation is not willing to learn this art. Participants stated that opening of the departments at high school,associate degree and bachelor's degree level, the state's financial support for the meerschaum craftmen especially for young people and the legal arrangements for meerschaum mining will be beneficial. The participants also emphasized that they could contribute to the touristic development of Eskişehir by introducing meerschaum via international events and workshops for tourists.
