The efficient use of energy, which is defined by institutional and social concerns, is guided through energy management systems. Correct management of energy, which is a critical resource for organizations, provides significant advantages in a fiercely competitive environment. Energy maturity models provide a roadmap for assessing the current state of the organization, planning development activities, and controlling improvements. With the energy management maturity model, the organization gains the ability to develop energy management applications, to ensure continuous development in energy, to achieve success in energy management, to compare energy applications, and to direct investment decisions supported by energy management. Economic barriers, including cost and capital distribution risks, limit the energy efficiency generation activities. Energy measurements and visualization of big energy data with energy management systems enable the enterprise to monitor energy use and perform an energy cost analysis. However, usually, the parameters involve imprecision, and thus, evaluating energy maturity involves imprecision and hesitancies. Hesitant fuzzy linguistic terms sets and probabilistic linguistic term sets are efficient tools to deal with uncertainty and imprecision. In this study, a novel probabilistic linguistic term set based energy maturity evaluation model is developed. The developed model is explained through numerical analysis.
