Özet
Aluminum alloys that have specific strength, good corrosion resistance are used in many fields such as aerospacc and automotive, because, they have improved the mechanical propertics of the alloys with aging heat treatment. 1n this study, 6013 alloy, which is 6XXX series of aluminum alloys, different aging times at the same aging temperature was investigated effects on machinability. 6013 alloys was received in the solution at 530° C. Thcn, after cooling in water at 70° C, it was applied aging heat treatment at 180° C during 1, 3, 6, 9, 12 and 24 hours. Machinability samples which applied aging heat treatment werc turned at 3 different cutting velocity (60 mimin, 120 mimin, 180 mimin) and 3 different dcpth of cut with thc constant feed rate (0,5 mm, 0,25 mm, 0,1 mm) and cutting forccs were dctermined. Aftcr machinability experiments, surface roughness valucs of depth of cut at 0,5 mm of materials were determined. Also the hardness and tensile expcrimcnts were conducted to provide better understanding for the effect of the aging treatment on 6013 aluminum alloy. As a result, it was determined that cutting force, tensile strength and hardness increase, but value of the surface roughness decrease with aging heat treatment.
