The aim of this study is to develop software and hardware products for visually impaired patients to facilitate their participation in social life. Thanks to this product, it is foreseen that the visually impaired people can easily walk in their lives and be protected from the obstacles around them. It is deemed appropriate to design the proposed product as a hat in terms of usage and to provide comfort to the user. The sensors located on the front, right, left and back of the hat, can be used for object tracking. If an object is detected in the specified area of the front sensor, the camera is operated and image processing is performed on the object. After image processing, the user is given commands via the headset using the Raspberry Pi Speech Synthesizer. In this way, the user can move comfortably and safely in the environment. The system is fast, cheap and easy to use and it can be used in any eye-related disease. © 2019 IEEE.
