Özet
This study explores the thermal behaviour of insulated residential building walls filled with PCMs, with a particular emphasis on the role of PCM location within the wall structure. The positioning of PCMs can significantly influence their thermal performance, impacting heat transfer rates and overall energy efficiency. Previous studies have demonstrated that the effectiveness of PCMs is highly dependent on their placement, as the location can affect the rate at which heat is absorbed or released during phase transitions. For instance, placing PCMs closer to the exterior surface may enhance heat absorption during peak temperature periods, while locations closer to the interior may facilitate more effective heat release during cooler times.
