Terörün ekonomik etkileri: Orta Doğu üzerinde bir inceleme

Abstract

“Terörün Ekonomik etkileri: Orta Doğu Üzerinde Bir İnceleme” Mehmet Akif PEÇE Terör - ekonomi ilişkisini inceleyen bu çalışmanın amacı Orta Doğu bölgesinde önemli ekonomilere sahip ve terörizm ile büyük mücadele veren başlıca ülkeleri ele alıp terörün bu ülkelerin ekonomilerini nasıl etkilediğini panel veri analizi yardımıyla incelemektir. Çalışma da terör ve terör - ekonomi ilişkisi hakkında genel bir bilgiye sahip olduktan sonra Türkiye, Mısır ve Suudi Arabistan’ın ekonomilerini genel hatlarla ele alıp bu ülkeler de 2003-2010 yıllarını kapsayan bir dönem için terörün ekonomi üzerindeki etkileri; Mal ve hizmetler ihracatı, mal ve hizmetler ithalatı, kişi başına düşen gayri safi yurtiçi hasıla, ülkeyi ziyaret eden turist sayısı, Doğrudan yabancı yatırımları, İşsizliğin toplam işgücüne oranı, Gayri safi yurtiçi hasıla değişkenleriyle “Panel Veri Analizi” kullanılarak ekonometrik açıdan incelenecektir. Yapılan analiz sonuçlarında, genel olarak yüksek seviyeler de yukarıda ifade edilen bağımlı değişkenlerin, bağımsız değişken olan terör tarafından açıklandığı sonucu tespit edilmiş ve terörün bütün bağımlı değişkenler üzerinde negatif etkisi olduğu saptanmıştır.

"Economic Effects of Terrorism: An Investigation on the Middle East" Mehmet Akif PEÇE The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between the economy of terror-significant economies in the Middle East and terrorism, the main countries that do not present a great struggle with terrorism with the help of panel data analysis to examine how it affects the economies of these countries. In the research, the economies of Turkey, Egypt and Saudi Arabia will be taken over the general lives and the effects of terror on economy will be examined the econometric point of view by using “panel data analysis” with variables such as goods and services exports, goods and services import, gross domestic product per capita, the number of turists visiting the country, foreign direct investment, the total labor force unemployment rate, gross domestic product for a period covering 2003-2010 years in this countries after it is informed superficially about terror and the relationship between terror and economy. According to the results, in general, it has been found that dependent variables mentioned above have been explained by terror being independent variable. Furthermore, it has been determined that terror has negative effect all the dependent variables.
