Özet

The enormous field enhancements around metal nanoparticles induced by plasmon resonances enable a direct coupling of nanoparticle plasmons with excitons of nearby quantum impurities like dots or molecules. Plexcitonics corresponds to hybrid light-matter states due to these plasmon-exciton couplings and provides a viable route towards future optoelectronics applications. In this chapter, we review recent theoretical attempts to address strong electron correlation effects within the quantum emitter coupled to plasmonic metal nanoparticles. We first discuss how the emergence of Kondo effect dramatically influences the electronic and optical propertiesof the junction. Next, we investigate the evolution of the entropy current when a finite temperature gradient is applied between the nanoparticles. In the end, we examine the effects of strong electronphonon coupling within the quantum emitter on the behaviour of entropy current. We also comment on the potential implications of these results. © 2022 by Nova Science Publishers, Inc. All rights reserved.
