Özet
Brown seaweeds-derived polysaccharides, and various compounds have been reported as a good candidate for developing new therapeutical products against different cancer types. Recent studies have demonstrated that these compounds have exciting activities such as antiproliferative, antiangiogenic, and anti-cancer properties and particular modes of action in vitro and in vivo. The anti-cancer or preventing effects of polysaccharides of brown seaweeds vary according to its structure. Those polysaccharides may interact with different receptors, i.e. tumor cells, and immune cells. This review focused on the structural diversity of these compounds and the molecular signal pathway mechanisms of their action. Besides, the therapeutic approach using both conventional anti-cancer drugs and these compounds as chemotherapeutic agents in cancer has been discussed. © 2021 Scrivener Publishing LLC.
