Sultan II. Mahmud döneminde Adli Altını Darbı

Abstract

Bu çalışmada Sultan II. Mahmud döneminde 1822-1827 yılları arasında basılan adlî altını ele alınmıştır. Yaşanan ekonomik ve mali sorunların çözülmesinde adlî altını bir finansman aracı olarak kullanılmıştır. Darphanede beş buçuk yıl boyunca adlî altınından toplam 44.835.728 adet basılmıştır. Basılan altının kuruş karşılığı 533.270.564,5 kuruş, elde edilen gelir de 111.277.776,5 kuruş olmuştur. Adlî altınından elde edilen gelir askeri giderlerin karşılanmasında büyük katkı sağlamıştır. Literatürde gümüş sikkelerin tağşiş edilmesinden sağlanan gelire çokça değinilmesine rağmen, altın sikkelerin finansman aracına dönüştürülmesi hususuna çok az temas edilmiştir. Tezde bu hususun altı özenle çizilmiştir. Varılan sonuçlar tablo ve grafiklerle desteklenmiştir.

The adlî goldwhich was milted during the Mahmud II era and between the years 1822-1827 has been examined in this study. The adlî gold was used as a financial tool to solve economic and fiscal issues. It was minted in the number of 44.835.728 in the royal mint in five and a half years. This adli gold was equal to 111.277.776,5 Turkish piastre (kurus). The revenue acquired from adli gold became a contribution tocountervailing military expenditure. Although there are many citations to the adulteration of silver coins in the academic literature, less contribution has been made to the gold coins particularly its conversion to a financial tool. This has been conscientiously mentioned in the dissertation. Acquired results have been supported with tables and graphics.
