Özet
The aim of this stııdy is ıo investigate ıhe usabiliıy of wasıe marble powder as filler in co/d vıılcani=ing adhesives and its effecı on ıhe physica/ and mechanical properties of ıhe cold vıılcanizing adhesives. Experimental tesis were performed ıo evaluaıe ıhe possibility of using the waste marble powder as replacemenı of ıhe convenlional calciıe powder in a formulaıion of cold vulcanizing cenıent. Cure characıerisıics, which are scorch ıime, cure time and minimum ıorque of the rubber compounds filled wiıh marble powder and calcite were determined at J90°C with a Moving Die Rheomeıer. Meusurements of adhesive sırength and capability of elongaıiorı of spliced fabric corıveyor belt samples were carried 0111 arı the tensile testirıg nıachirıe. lnexpensive and eco-friendly filler, marble powder, has been successfiılly utili=ed for ıhe process of cold vıılcani=ing adlıesives. A favorability of adlıesive sırengılı and capabiliıy of elongaıion was obtained for the wasıe marble powder filled adhesives w/ıen compared ıo the calcite filled adhesives. Recycling of wasıe marble powder as filler appears ıo be a feasible solııtion nol only ıo environmental problem, bııı also ıo ıhe problem of economical processing of sııch adhesives.
