| dc.description.abstract | Introduction It is possible to say that the concepts of employment and unemployment are two concepts which are of great importance in the economy. Unemployment is considered as one of the most serious economic problems in every economy and various employment policies are developed to solve this problem. One of the fundamental shortcomings of economies is inadequate women’s labor force participation. Despite the fact that it has been prioritized in the efforts of economic development, the female labor force has not yet reached the required and desired levels. In general, the female labor force participation rate lags behind the male labor force participation rate. Nowadays, there are many efforts that protect the rights of women and advocate equality between men and women. It has not been possible to change the perception of the place and duties of the women settled in society even if these efforts are carried out to prevent gender discrimination in the society. On the other hand, the fact that most of the women decided not to participate in the labor force when they guarantee their livelihood is a sign that they accept the duties and responsibilities assigned to them. The aim of this study is to determine the factors affecting the female labor force participation as well as to determine the extent to which they have an impact.
