Düşünce dünyamızda Babanzade Ahmed Naim ve felsefesi

Abstract

Türk-İslam dünyasının yetiştirmiş olduğu en önemli şahsiyetlerden birisi olan Babanzade Ahmed Naim’in hayatı, eserleri ve felsefi düşüncelerinin incelendiği bu çalışmada, çağdaş bir Müslüman mütefekkirin düşünce serüvenin anlaşılması amaçlanmıştır. Ahmed Naim’in eserleri incelendiğinde, Onun batı kaynaklarını çok iyi bir şekilde analiz ettiği buna mukabil kendi kadim kültür ve medeniyetine de hakim olduğu ve iki dünya arasında dengeli bir bakış açısı geliştirdiği görülmüştür. Bu çalışmanın amacı modern Müslümanların Ahmed Naim’i daha yakından tanımalarına ve anlamalarına katkı sağlamaktır. Çalışma boyunca Ahmed Naim’in hayatı ve eserleri incenmiş felsefi düşünceleri özet bir şekilde sunulmuştur. Ahmed Naim’in düşüncelerinin temelinde Kur’an ve Sünnet vardır. Hiçbir düşünce, fikir ve felsefe bu ikisinden üstün olamaz. Batılı filozofların ortaya koymuş oldukları tüm güzel düşünceler, muhakkak İslam’da vardır. Çalışmadan elde edilen en önemli sonuç şudur; Ahmed Naim’e göre artık doğu ve batının tanışmaları gerekmektedir. Babanzade Ahmed Naim, kültür ve medeniyetimizde müstesna bir şahsiyet olmasına karşın ülkemizde yeterince tanınmamaktadır.

This text presents a summary of a study on the life, philosophical thoughts, and works of Babanzade Ahmed Naim, one of the most important figures in the Turkish-Islamic world. The aim of the study is to contribute to a closer understanding of Babanzade Ahmed Naim and his ideas. According to the text, Babanzade Ahmed Naim thoroughly examined Western sources while also being well-versed in his own ancient culture. From the integration of these two worlds, he developed a balanced perspective. The philosophical thoughts of Ahmed Naim are based on the Qur’an and the Sunnah. According to him, all the beautiful ideas proposed by philosophers also exist in Islam, and no thought, philosophy, or idea can be superior to the beliefs and values Islam has established. Ahmed Naim advocated for the encounter between the East and the West, seeking to benefit from the interaction of these two civilizations. Moreover, he believed that the source of philosophy and thought is Islam, and Western thought should align with it. Rather than adopting a rejecting attitude, he aimed to develop a harmonious understanding between the two worlds. In conclusion, although Babanzade Ahmed Naim made a significant contribution to our intellectual world, he is not widely recognized in our country.
