Kur'ân-ı Kerim'de teşbîh sanatı ve meallerde yansıtılması

Abstract

Apaçık bir Arapça ile indirilmiş olan ilâhî kelâmın belâgat ve fesâhat yönüyle insan kelâmından üstünlüğü kabul edilen bir gerçektir. Kur’ân’ın edebî ifade araçlarından biri olan teşbîh sanatının, Türkiye’de okunma bakımından yaygınlık gösteren Türkçe meâllerin çeviri şekillerinde ortaya çıkan lafzi farklılık ve tutarsızlık sonucunda âyetin doğru anlaşılma noktasında ciddi bir problem oluşturmaktadır. Bu çalışma, ülkemizde yaygın olarak yer alan meâllerin çevirileri sırasında oluşan teşbîh sanatındaki tercüme farklılıklarını, anlam kaymalarını, âyetin işaret ettiği anlamı ve bu sanatın meâllerde ne derece korunabildiğini tespit etmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Bu minvalde çalışmada Muhammed Hamdi Yazır (Hak Dini Kur’ân Dili), Ömer Nasuhi Bilmen (Kur’ân-ı Kerîm’in Türkçe Meâli Âlisi ve Tefsiri), Süleyman Ateş (Kur’ân-ı Kerîm’in Yüce Meâli), Yaşar Nuri Öztürk (Kur’ân-ı Kerîm Meâli), Bayraktar Bayraklı (Yeni Bir Anlayışın Işığında Kur’ân Meâli) ve Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığı (Kur’ân Yolu Meâli) tarafından telif edilen altı farklı meâl yer almaktadır. Çalışmanın temel hipotezi, seçilen meâllerin bazı çevirilerinde teşbîh ögesine yer verilmediği, tarafeyn tespitinin doğru yapılmadığı, müellifin kişisel görüşünü çeviriye aktardığı veya birden fazla anlama yer vererek âyette belirsizlik oluşturduğu, müşebbeh bih çevirisine âyetin murad ettiği mânadan uzak bir anlam verildiği, âyetlerin çevirisinde anlam bütünlüğünün esas alınmadığı gözlemlenmiş ve inceleme sonucunda kimi âyetlerde bazı meâllerin çevirileri isabetli görülürken bazı meâller diğerlerine kıyasla eksik kaldığı tespit edilmiştir. Bu durum ilâhî kelâmın doğru anlaşılmasını zorlaştırmakta ve Kur’ân’ı anlama gayretinde olan insanın aklında soru işareti oluşturmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın hedefi ise âyetlerde gözlemlenen çeviri farklılıklarının yol açtığı problemlere çözüm olarak daha bütüncül, tutarlı ve anlam merkezli bir meâl çalışmasının nasıl olması gerektiğini teşbîh sanatı üzerinden değerlendirerek bu alandaki bir açığı kapatmaya çalışmaktır.

The divine revelation, revealed in eloquent Arabic, is widely regarded as surpassing human discourse in both rhetorical sophistication and expressive clarity. Among its distinctive literary features, figurative language—particularly simile—presents a significant challenge for accurate interpretation, especially in translation. In the context of widely read Turkish renderings, variations in translation strategies often lead to semantic shifts, inconsistencies, or partial loss of the original rhetorical effect. This study seeks to examine the divergences and transformations in meaning that arise from the treatment of simile in prominent Turkish translations. It aims to identify the intended meaning of the relevant verses and to evaluate the extent to which the aesthetic and rhetorical function of simile has been preserved or altered in these translations. Within this framework, the study analyzes six widely circulated Turkish translations of the Qur'an. In this vein, Muhammad Hamdi Yazır (The True Religion: The Language of the Qur’an); Ömer Nasuhi Bilmen (The Holy Qur’an: A Turkish Translation and Commentary); Süleyman Ateş (The Noble Translation of the Holy Qur’an); Yaşar Nuri Öztürk (Translation of the Holy Qur’an); Bayraktar Bayraklı (The Qur’an Translation in the Light of a New Understanding) and the study includes the Presidency of Religious Affairs (Kur’ân Yolu). The principal hypothesis of this study is that, in certain translations of the selected verses of the Qur'an, the element of metaphor is at times omitted; the relationship between the two components of the simile is not accurately established; interpretive bias is introduced through the incorporation of the translator’s personal views; or semantic ambiguity is generated by permitting multiple, and at times unwarranted, interpretations. Furthermore, it is argued that the rendering of the mushabbah bih occasionally departs from the intended meaning of the verse, and that the principle of semantic coherence is not consistently maintained throughout the translation process. The analysis demonstrates that while certain translations successfully convey the intended meaning of some verses, others prove inadequate in preserving both semantic precision and rhetorical nuance. Such inconsistencies may impede a proper understanding of the divine discourse and give rise to interpretive uncertainty among readers seeking to comprehend the Qur’anic message. Accordingly, this study aims to address the challenges emerging from these translational discrepancies by examining, through the lens of metaphor, how a more comprehensive, consistent, and meaning-oriented translation approach can be developed, thereby contributing to the existing scholarship and seeking to fill a notable gap in the field.
