Küllüoba Kazısı 2018 Yılı Çalışmaları

Abstract

Bu rapor “Küllüoba 2018 Yılı Çalışmaları” başlıklı projemize ait bir aylık bir arazi çalışmasının ve sonrasındaki analizlerin sonuçlarını içermektedir. Prof.Dr. Turan Efe başkanlığındaki Küllüoba Kazısı 17.07.2018-17.08.2018 tarihleri arasında Eskişehir, Seyitgazi’de gerçekleştirilmiştir. Küllüoba’da gerçekleşen bu sezon çalışmaları bazı mimari detayları da veren başarılı bir çalışmadır. Bu seneki çalışmalar; batı yamaçtaki aşağı şehir yapılarının araştırılması; Orta Tunç Çağı’na Geçiş Evresi’nin araştırılması; höyük ve yakın çevresinde gerçekleştirilen yüzey araştırması ve önceki yıllarda tespit edilmiş olan çukurlardan gelen arkeozoolojik malzemelerin incelenmesi’nden oluşmaktadır. Batı yamaçtaki çalışmalar aşağı şehirdeki mimari planlamanın en azından İTÇ 2 başından beri gerçekleştiğini anlamamızı sağlamıştır. Höyüğün kuzey kesiminde gerçekleşen orta tunç çağı’na geçiş evresini saptama çalışmalarında sadece birkaç ever tespit edilebilmiştir. Höyük ve yakın çevresindeki yüzey araştırmaları yerleşmenin boyutları hakkında fikir vermiştir. Son olarak arkeozoolojik çalışma ise adak çukurlarının tanımlanması konusunda bilgi vermektedir. 2018 yılı kazı çalışmaları sonrasında dokuz adet envanterlik ve oniki adet etüdlük eser Eskişehir Arkeoloji Müzesi’ne teslim edilmiştir.

This report includes the result of one month of field study and the analysis afterwards of our project entitled as “Küllüoba Excavation 2018”. Küllüoba excavations carried out by the directorate of Prof.Turan Efe in Seyitgazi Eskişehir between 17.07.2018-17.08.2018. The work in Küllüoba this season was very succesfull with regard to documenting certain architectural details; on the lower town buildings located in western slope of the mound; the searching of the transition period into the middle bronze age: the survey on and around the mound; the archaeozoological study of the pits which were detected in previous seasons. The work on the western slope gives us the data to understand that the architectural planning of the lower town was already planned in the beginning of EB 2 in this part of the mound. The search for the transition period into the middle bronze age work was undertaken on the northern part of the mound and only some levels were detected. The survey on and around the mound gave us some data about the size of the settlement and the ongoing archaezoological analysis of the pits gave us the evidence to identify the ritual pits. After the season of 2018 in Küllüoba, nine piece of archaeological finds and twelve piece of find for study were delivered to Eskişehir Archaeological Museum.
