Astral seyahat, Peygamber Enok'un Kitabı, dinlerde ve mitolojilerde yansımaları

Abstract

İnsanlık, tarih boyunca fiziksel dünyanın sınırlarını aşma ve ötesine inanma arayışı içinde olmuştur. Bu doğrultuda gökyüzüne ve astral unsurlara duyulan ilgi, din ve mitolojiyle iç içe gelişmiş; gökyüzü kutsal bir mekân olarak algılanmıştır. Tanrı’ya ulaşma ve ilahi bilgiyi edinme arzusu, ruhsal ve bedensel seyahat anlatılarıyla birleşerek “yükseliş” kavramı etrafında şekillenmiştir. Zamanla bu yükseliş motifleri evrensel bir nitelik kazanarak toplumların ortak inanç pratiğine dönüşmüş; yükseliş ve astral seyahat olguları, insanın metafizik âlemle kurduğu ilişkiyi anlamada önemli bir yere sahip olmuştur. Bir inanç sisteminin, ruhsal yolculuk tasavvurları göz ardı edilerek ele alınması önemli bir eksikliktir; bu nedenle söz konusu deneyimler bütüncül bir bakışla değerlendirilmelidir. “Astral Seyahat, Peygamber Enok’un Kitabı, Dinlerde ve Mitolojilerde Yansımaları” adlı bu çalışmada, insanın bedensel sınırları aşma arzusunun farklı geleneklerdeki yansımaları incelenmiştir. Çalışma, giriş ve üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. Giriş bölümünde, araştırmanın amacı ve kapsamı ele alınarak, insanın tarih boyunca gökyüzüne duyduğu ilginin mistik düşünceyi nasıl şekillendirdiği incelenmiştir. Birinci bölümde, yükseliş motifleri ve astral seyahat olgusuna ilişkin kavramsal ve teorik çerçeve ortaya konmuş; yükselişin biçimleri, araçları ve amaçları ile ruh–beden ilişkisi ve astral âlem kavramları parapsikolojik ve ezoterik yaklaşımlar doğrultusunda değerlendirilmiştir. İkinci bölümde, tarihsel ve mitolojik bir figür olarak Peygamber Enok (Hz. İdris) ele alınmış; Enok literatürünün gelişimi, Metatron’a dönüşümü ve göksel yolculuğu sırasında karşılaştığı mekânlar ve varlıklar tematik bir analizle incelenmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde ise İbrahimi ve çevre inanç sistemleriyle birlikte Doğu dinleri, Antik mitolojik gelenekler ve şamanik-kadim inançlardaki yükseliş tasavvurları karşılaştırmalı bir yöntemle ele alınarak değerlendirilmiştir. Yapılan bu çalışma sonucunda, yükseliş anlatılarının farklı dini ve kültürel geleneklerde çeşitli biçimlerde ortaya çıkmasına rağmen ortak temalar ve yapısal benzerlikler taşıdığı görülmüştür. Bu durumda yükseliş motifinin insanın kutsal, aşkın ve metafizik olanla ilişki kurma çabasını yansıtan önemli bir olgu olduğunu göstermektedir.Throughout history, humanity has sought to transcend the physical world and believe in what lies beyond. Interest in the sky and astral elements, shaped by religion and mythology, led to the perception of the sky as sacred. The desire to reach God and attain divine knowledge became expressed through narratives of spiritual and physical journeys centered on the concept of “ascension.” Over time, these motifs gained a universal character, making ascent and astral travel key phenomena for understanding humanity’s relationship with the metaphysical realm. Evaluating a belief system without considering its concepts of spiritual journey is a significant oversight; therefore, these experiences must be evaluated holistically. This study, titled “Astral Travel, the Book of Enoch, and Its Reflections in Religions and Mythologies,” examines humanity's reflections on the desire to transcend physical boundaries across different traditions. The study consists of an introduction and three chapters. In the introduction, the purpose and scope of the study are outlined, focusing on how humanity’s enduring interest in the sky throughout history has shaped mystical thought. The first chapter establishes the conceptual and theoretical framework concerning motifs of ascension and the phenomenon of astral travel; it examines the forms, means, obstacles, and ultimate aims of ascension, as well as the relationship between spirit and body and conceptions of the astral realm, within the context of parapsychological and esoteric approaches. The second chapter addresses the Prophet Enoch (Idris) as both a historical and mythological figure, analyzing the development of Enochian literature, his transformation into Metatron, and the places and beings he encounters during his celestial journey through a thematic lens. In the third chapter, concepts of ascension in Abrahamic and related belief systems, as well as in Eastern religions, ancient mythological traditions, and shamanic-ancient beliefs, are examined and evaluated using a comparative approach. The results of this study reveal that, although narratives of ascent manifest in various forms across different religious and cultural traditions, they share common themes and structural similarities. This demonstrates that the motif of ascent is a significant phenomenon reflecting humanity’s effort to connect with the sacred, the transcendent, and the metaphysical.
