Kuzey Kıbrıs Türk Cumhuriyeti'nde kimlik algısı

Abstract

Bu tez, Kuzey Kıbrıs Türk Cumhuriyeti’nde yaşayan halkın kimlik algısını ele alan bir çalışmadır. Bu bağlamda, giriş kısmına müteakip üç bölümden oluşan bu çalışmanın ilk bölümünde kimliğe ilişkin kavramsal bir çerçeveye yer verilmiş, ikinci bölümde ise Kuzey Kıbrıs Türk Cumhuriyeti’nde tarihî süreç içerisinde kimlik algısının oluşumuna tesir eden faktörler tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Saha çalışması ile güçlendirilen üçüncü ve son bölümde ise, Kuzey Kıbrıs Türk Cumhuriyeti halkının kimlik algısı, bilhassa Türkiye ve Türk halkına ilişkin gerçek ve güncel fikirleri ekseninde değerlendirilmeye çalışılmıştır. Bu bölümde kullanılan SPSS programı ile objektif birtakım sonuçların elde edilmesine gayret edilmiştir. Bu bağlamda genel olarak değerlendirildiğinde Kuzey Kıbrıs Türk halkının kimlik algısının ‘Kıbrıslı Türk’ kavramı etrafında şekillendiği, bu algının, halkın Türkiye’ye ilişkin fikirlerini de etkilediği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Bu hâliyle çalışmanın, konuyla ilgili başka çalışmalara ışık tutması umulmaktadır.

This thesis is a study dealing with Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus people’s perception of identity. Within this context, in the first part of this study, which includes three parts following the introduction, it has given place to a conceptual framework of identity. In the second part, the factors affecting the perception of identity in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus have been tried to be determined. In the third and the last part, which strengthens with fieldwork, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus people’s perception of identity and especially real and current ideas have been evaluated in relation to the axis of Turkey and Turkish people. With SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) Software, being used in this part, it has been made an effort to achieve certain objective results. In this sense, when evaluated in general, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus people’s perception of identity has shaped around the concept of “Turkish Cypriot” and it has been concluded that this perception affects the public’s ideas related to Turkey. It is hoped that the study, as is, enlightens the other studies on the subject.
