Lavantanın Çevresel Sürdürülebilirlikteki Yeri: Bilecik Örneği

Abstract

Lavanta (Lavandula spp.), çevre koşullarına adaptasyonunun iyi olması, üretim ve yetiştiriciliğinin kolay olması, biyoçeşitliliği desteklemesi gibi nedenlerle sürdürülebilir şehirler için özellikle son yıllarda ilgi gören ve çevre düzenlemesinde tercih edilen bitkiler arasında yer almaktadır. Her yıl çiçeklenme döneminde rengi, dokusu, kokusu ile dikkatleri üzerine çeken lavanta bitkisinin sahip olduğu geniş kullanım alanları kadın girişimciler için fırsatlar sunarken sürdürülebilir döngüsel ekonomiye de ciddi katkı sağlamaktadır. Bu açıdan lavanta kullanımının faydalarını açıklayan ve yaygınlaştırılmasını destekleyen çalışmada, Bilecik ilinde lavantanın çevresel sürdürülebilirlikteki yeri araştırılmıştır. Çalışma ile lavantanın çevre düzenlemesinde önemli bir yeri olduğu hem literatür çalışmalarıyla hem de elde edilen görsellerle ifade edilmiştir. Çalışma, lavanta kullanımının yaygınlaştırılmasının şehrin estetiğinin yanında sürdürülebilir çevre kavramı kapsamında da önemli katkılar sağladığını ortaya koymaktadır.

Lavender (Lavandula spp.) has become one of the plants that have attracted attention in recent years and are preferred in environmental design for sustainable cities, due to its good adaptation to environmental conditions, ease of production and cultivation, and support for biodiversity. The wide range of uses of the lavender plant, which draws attention every year during its flowering period with its color, texture, and scent, offers opportunities for women entrepreneurs while also making a significant contribution to a sustainable circular economy. In this respect, this study, which explains the benefits of lavender use and supports its widespread adoption, investigates the role of lavender in environmental sustainability in the province of Bilecik. The study emphasizes that lavender has an important place in environmental design, both through literature reviews and the visual data obtained. It reveals that the widespread use of lavender makes significant contributions not only to the aesthetics of the city but also within the scope of the concept of a sustainable environment.
