In this thesis, right conoid surfaces, which form an important subclass of ruled surfaces in 3-dimensional Euclidean space, are investigated, and their curvature characterizations are stu- died. In the preliminary part of the work, fundamental concepts of Euclidean space, curves, and surface theory including the first and second fundamental forms, the shape operator, Gaussian curvature, and mean curvature are presented in detail. In the main part of the thesis, the differential geometric properties of right conoid surfaces given by the parametrization r(u, v) = (u cos v, u sin v, h(v)) are examined. The necessary and sufficient compatibility conditions for constructing right conoid surfaces with prescribed mean curvature (H) or Gaussian curvature (K) are derived, and explicit integral formulas determining the pro- file curve h(v) are obtained. In addition, special geometric cases are analyzed, proving that a minimal right conoid surface is either a plane or a helicoid, while a developable (K= 0) right conoid surface is necessarily a plane. Finally, several right conoid surface families associated with specific curvature functions are computed analytically and illustrated with corresponding graphical representations.
